Black Blood Brothers (Japan, 2009)

Guns and swordplay collide in this action based anime series that depicts the rise of a new breed of monster following an epic war between vampires and humans.

Centred on the story of a tortured vampire who is struggling to come to terms with the betrayal of a loved one to the dark side, the series offers plenty of eye candy if you can ignore the exposition heavy script.

Young teens may find something to sustain their interest but for the rest of us it's non-essential viewing.
